Terms of Service
Effective July 26, 2026
1. Who we are
Tieline (“Tieline”, “we”, “us”) is a studio-business app for music producers, mixing engineers, and mastering engineers, operated by Monumentic and available at tieline.app. These terms are an agreement between you and us and apply whenever you create an account, run a studio workspace, or use a client portal link a studio shares with you.
2. The service
Tieline gives a studio one workspace for its client work: project tracking, file intake with automated checks (“Soundcheck”), audio deliveries with a streaming player and notes, revision requests, payment requests, and a client-facing portal. Tieline is currently in an invite-only early-access phase; features may change, and parts of the service may be added, altered, or removed as it matures.
3. Accounts
You need an account to run a workspace (clients using a portal link do not). Keep your login credentials private: everything done through your account is your responsibility. You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to hold an account. Team seats you invite get access to your workspace at the role you assign them — review those roles before inviting.
4. Your license to use Tieline
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Tieline app and any companion software we release for the purpose of running your studio’s client work. You may not resell the service, sublicense access, probe or disrupt its security, use it to build a competing service, or use automated means to scrape it beyond what its documented APIs allow. This section serves as the end-user license for the web app and any future desktop or mobile builds unless a separate license is shipped with them.
5. Your content
Audio, artwork, notes, client details, and anything else you or your clients upload stays yours (or your clients’). You grant us the technical license needed to operate the service — to store, process, transmit, and display that content to the people you share it with (your team and your clients through the portal). We analyze uploaded audio to produce Soundcheck reports and player waveforms; that analysis is for you and is not used to train models or shared with anyone else. You are responsible for having the rights to the material you upload.
6. Payments
Payment requests are settled through Stripe. Money moves directly from the paying client to the studio’s own Stripe account — Tieline never holds funds and is not a party to the transaction between a studio and its client. Refunds, disputes, and chargebacks are handled between the studio, its client, and Stripe under Stripe’s own terms. Studios connecting Stripe agree to Stripe’s Connected Account Agreement. Fees for Tieline subscriptions, when they launch, will be shown before you pay.
7. Acceptable use
Don’t use Tieline to store or share material that is unlawful, infringing, or malicious (including malware); don’t misuse portals to phish or defraud; don’t attempt to access another workspace’s data; and don’t overload the service. We can suspend or terminate accounts that put other users, their clients, or the service at risk.
8. Client portals
Portal links let a studio’s clients upload files, follow progress, listen to deliveries, leave notes, and pay — without an account. The studio controls who receives a portal link and is responsible for its client relationships, including the content it delivers and any terms it agrees with clients. Anyone using a portal link agrees to use it only for the project it belongs to.
9. Availability, changes, and beta features
We work to keep Tieline fast and available, but we don’t promise uninterrupted service — maintenance, upstream outages, and early-access rough edges happen. Features marked as beta or preview may change or disappear. We may update these terms as the product evolves; material changes will be announced in the app or by email, and continuing to use Tieline after they take effect means you accept them.
10. Disclaimers and liability
Tieline is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. Keep your own copies of your masters and session files — Tieline is a delivery and collaboration tool, not your only archive. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim (or €50 if you have paid nothing). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including for intent or gross negligence.
11. Termination
You can stop using Tieline and ask us to delete your workspace at any time. We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms, after notice where practical. When a workspace closes, its content is deleted on the schedule described in the Privacy Policy.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the country where the operator has its registered seat, excluding its conflict-of-law rules; mandatory consumer-protection rules of your home country stay unaffected.
